Greenhouse Gas Reporting Requirement in SAM

Per a final rule published on November 18, 2016, in the Federal Register, effective December 2016, federal contractors are being required to publicly report if and where they publicly disclose their company’s greenhouse gas emission and reduction goals as part of the Representations & Certifications section of their SAM profile. It is optional for contractors that received less than $7.5 million in contract awards from the federal government during the last fiscal year. Federal prime contractors with more than $7.5 million in prime contract awards are required to answer the following question:

Did XXX either receive $7.5 million or more in Federal contracts during the previous Federal fiscal year requiring it to publicly disclose greenhouse gas emissions and reduction goals or receive less than $7.5 million in Federal contracts during the previous Federal fiscal year but still want to publicly disclose greenhouse gas emissions and reduction goals?
