Our company was recently acquired by a regional Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) that has utilized C2 North’s Small Business Administration (SBA) expertise for many years. As a subsidiary of our ANC parent company, myself and our local executive management team had limited recent experience working with the SBA. Most notable, we didn’t fully understand the latest processes and requirements for applying for the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development program. Our company worked closely with Melanie Roller and her C2 North team to rapidly pull together a fully compliant SBA 8(a) application package in a matter of weeks and not months. C2 North’s existing relationships with the SBA Government representatives, “real-world knowledge and learning curve” from prior SBA 8(a) submissions and in-depth knowledge of the SBA 8(a) filing process turned out to be invaluable to our Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB). Because of C2 North and their attention to detail early on working with us, our initial SBA 8(a) submission application had only minor clarifications from the SBA representative. With C2 North’s assistance and based on the quality application package submitted to SBA; our 8(a) application package was forwarded to SBA Washington, DC in a very rapid manner and we received SBA 8(a) certification substantially sooner than we had anticipated. Since SBA 8(a) certification, C2 North has worked with our team to keep us abreast of SBA regulation changes, working issues we had with our SAM.gov information and provided on-site and virtual SBA 8(a) training to our workforce. As the President and founder of our SDB, I highly recommend C2 North to anyone looking to navigate the overall SBA and federal contracting process or for companies who may need a refresher or assistance on a specific SBA and federal contracting related matter(s).
